This effect becomes noticeable in 3-4 days, with full results in 2 weeks, and usually lasts four months but can be shorter or longer.
The lines most frequently treated include: frown lines, forehead lines , lip lines and Crow's feet. Other popular treatments areas are Bunny lines, neck bands and chin dimples.

Therapeutic Botox Injections

Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition whereby an individual suffers from excessive sweating. Botox has been shown to result in an 82-87% decrease in sweating when treating the underarms. Results start to be noticeable approximately 4 days after treatment with the full effects usually noted within 2 weeks. Dryness of the treated underarms typically lasts 4 to 12 months.


Physician Dermatology Services Not Covered by OHIP

OHIP will not cover the removal of benign skin lesions. Many benign lesions such as skin tags, moles, warts and hemangiomas are bothersome to people from a cosmetic perspective as a results of their location, size or appearance. Several safe and effective therapies are available.

Dr. Lynn Calvert practiced as a family physician in Burlington from 1999 until 2022. She obtained her Honours Bachelor in Science and her Master in Science degrees at McMaster University. She earned her degree in Medicine at the University of Toronto in 1997 and completed her residency training at McMaster University in 1999. She has completed the Post Graduate Practical Dermatology Diploma at the University of Cardiff with honours distinction. She has a Dermatology focus designation with the Ministry of Health of Ontario. She is an active member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the Canadian College of Family Physicians. She has also been an active member of the International Dermoscopy Society since 2021.
